Hello,
We are interested in visiting the forest/cable car next year. What month is the best time to go when fog is mostly gone and fewer crowds?
Thanks,
Sue
Zhangjiajie is 183 meters above sea level, and the average altitude of the scenic area is 1000 meters. Due to this difference, the temperature difference between day and night can reach 10℃. Therefore, the best time to visit Zhangjiajie is from April to October each year, especially in April and October. The natural scenery of Zhangjiajie is the most beautiful during these two months, which is certainly the best time to visit Zhangjiajie. However, it is best to avoid Chinese holidays (May 1st to 5th, October 1st to 7th).
